Men’s and Women’s Designer Eyeglasses are Getting Bigger and Bolder

Posted on March 29 2016

Anybody who has been watching the trends in men’s and women’s designer eyeglasses has certainly noticed that glasses are getting bigger and bolder. In the realm of eyeglasses and sunglasses, it seems as though bigger is indeed better. The size of the lenses in glasses and sunglasses have expanded at a rapid pace the last few years, venturing into face territory that has never been encountered.

In the past, it was thought that any type of eyeglasses or sunglasses should not exceed over the top of your eyebrow. But with top brands such as Prada, Versace and Gucci ignoring this rule, anything goes as far as the size of eyeglasses today.

When you have a rather large pair of glasses with a thick rim, you can wind up wearing a pair of glasses that make you look like you have two sets of eyebrows. Really, this is something you need to consider when shopping for eyewear.

A pair of thick-rimmed glasses that are also rather large in size can give you a look that is a little too much like Groucho Marx. So if you are going for a large pair of eyeglasses, make sure they don’t line right up with your eyebrows. Now, you don’t have to worry about this so much shopping sunglasses for obvious reasons.

Just as you need to shop designer eyeglasses that best fit the shape of your face, you also need to shop glasses that best fit your eyebrows. So choose carefully when shopping new Prada, Gucci and Versace eyeglasses.
